Oliver Stone Raised His Concern on Climatic Changes Saying Hurricane Sandy is a Punishment

The super-storm Sandy that has caused great destruction in the country, according to director Oliver Stone is a result of ignoring Mother Nature. The three-time Academy Award winner set his eyes on both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney saying that neither of the two candidates has addressed the climatic change in their campaign.

Oliver is ‘little disappointed with the third debate when neither of them talked about climate control and the nature of the situation on earth.’ He further added about Hurricane Sandy and the immense damage it cause, “I think there’s a kind of a weird statement coming after it. This is a punishment. Mother Nature cannot be ignored.”

Stone believes that the storm would pass and so does the campaign but the nature of this present situation would not.

Stone is one of the few American directors who have always worked dedicatedly towards the raising issues. His films majorly focus on contemporary American political and cultural issues. Though this committed lefties added that his vote would go with Barack Obama, he was very critical on the current administration’s continuation of many George W. Bush policies in his latest release “The Untold History of the United States”
